Woman stabbed after AA meeting in Mesa

Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman after she finished an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Mesa. Dangerous Holly Hill AA and NA Daytona meetings.

Authorities say 23-year-old Evan Sharp was taken into custody Saturday night but have not said what charges he faces.

According to police, Sharp was also attending the meeting and allegedly waited until it was done to stab the victim in the neck. Dangerous Palm Coast AA and NA meetings.

Police say other members restrained Sharp until they arrived.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was in stable condition after surgery. Authorities say she is expected to recover.

Investigators say witness accounts indicate the suspect and the victim did not speak during the meeting or know each other outside the group.

Police say they arrived separately and it was the first AA meeting for both at this location.

  1. Arrived separately…. but it was the first meeting for both of them…. I wonder if they arrived on treatment center buses?


    • I read elsewhere that it was the victims first meeting at that place, but not her first meeting ever.

      For sure many meetings are filled by many treatment centers and halfway house tenants that mandate that they go.

    More details about a woman stabbed Saturday evening at a Mesa Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Mesa police say the victim is in her 20s and is listed in critical but stable condition. The victim was stabbed in the neck. Police say it does not appear the victim and the attacker knew each other.

    The suspect has been arrested and identified as 23-year-old Evan Sharp.

    Police added that group counseling members did restrain the male suspect for a few minutes until Mesa police arrived on scene and too custody of the suspect.

    A motive the attack has not been released by police as detectives continue to investigate.

  3. These stories of violence just keep coming and coming. Please do not send your loved ones to these dangerous meetings where no one is in charge and violent felons are mandated by the courts to attend.
