Another Alcoholics Anonymous Sponsor Murdered By His Sponsee

Utah  AA Sponsor David Woodrow Brown Murder Victim

Utah AA sponsee  Christopher John Wiggins murdered his Sponsor David Woodrow Brown Oct. 15, 2011 after breaking into his home. AA realizes the danger they put members in asking them to do service work by being sponsors to dangerous criminals and mentally unstable individuals. Sometimes the sponsors fit this description as well in which case we have the blind leading the blind.

WEST JORDAN — David Brown had an enlarged heart in every sense. Physically — it ran in his family — and metaphorically.

“I’ve seen David go without lunch to feed someone else,” John Brown said of his brother. “One time, I saw him give his last dollar. … No matter what he was doing, no matter what was going on, if you made a phone call, he’d drop everything to be there.”

When he saw a struggling Christopher John Wiggins, a young man he had once sponsored in Alcoholics Anonymous, he offered him a place at his home.

Multiple Crimes at Detroit Churches Prompts Pastors to Increase Security and Carry Guns

Nationally, from January 1999 to December 2012, there were 638 major criminal incidents, including shootings and assaults, at the nation’s houses of worship, according to church security expert Carl Chinn, author of the book “Evil Invades Sanctuary.”
From Texas, the Rev. James McAbee, whose Facebook page promotes him as “the Pistol Packing Pastor,” said the clergy must take back their churches from criminals by being armed and prepared to use force if necessary.

AA Member Arrested for Molesting a Toddler at Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting

Many child molesters and sex offenders are routinely mandated to AA Meetings as part of their probation requirements. Yet no one is ever warned at these meetings before their arrival. The molester does not have to tell people at AA meetings what their crime is. Then we have AA old-timers who prey on children and women as well. This AA pervert went after a little toddler! How disgusting, yet AA refuses to do anything to prevent child molestation by AA members. Daytona NA daytonana  nadaytona  Daytona

DAYTONA NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS MEETINGS IN HOLLY HILL PARKS REFUSE TO PAY RENT

2511

Daytona Narcotics Anonymous Meetings Just For Today in Hollyland Park and The Third Tradition at Centennial Park refuse to pay rent for their weekly meetings.  They are not honoring their 7th tradition that states  “Every NA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”   Both The Third Tradition and Just For Today meetings have been collecting money at  meeting for years in Holly Hill Florida Parks and continue to refuse to pay rent.

The City of Holly Hill asked NA Daytona years ago when Oel Wingo was City Manager to pay rent and they refused. Every time they are asked to pay, the members of these Narcotics Anonymous meetings refuse to pay.

Daytona NA is also fully aware of how much they have upset the community with not only not paying rent, but they also continue to smoke since our parks became NO SMOKING last fall.  They have also been many incidences in our parks with these NA groups and an AA group harassing and threatening locals trying to enjoy the park. You can read many of the horror stories here that citizens of Holly Hill have endured  http://nadaytona.org/rude-awakening/

Raped In Childhood Barry Lopez Exposes Pedophile AA Member Harry Shier In ‘Sliver of Sky’ Article

The Sanitarium Pedophile Harry Shier finally exposed by his victim Barry Lopez. The walls of hidden problems in AA are crumbling

JR Harris's picture

Harry Shier ran a Sanitarium in San Fernando Valley California in 1952 dealing mainly with Alcoholics in Alcoholics Anonymous General Service Area 93 covering Districts 1, 2, 7, 11, 16 an 17 (http://www.sfvaa.org/Service.html). In a shocking expose’ by his victim Barry Lopez, the lax controls of the people who often run these facilities and the link between Alcoholics Anonymous enabling them through their active participation in these “autonomous” organizations is glaringly shown by a heart wrenching story of the abuse of the victim of this pedophile. it should be remembered that Alcoholics Anonymous actively recruits its members from jails and prisons and it is not just for DUIs anymore. They go after the violent criminals, rapists and con men also and they use the court system under their “Cooperation with the Professional Community” (CPC), “Public information) (PI) or “Hospitals and Institutions” (H&I) committees to get as many new prospects as possible.

Man Found Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting 6 Sleeping Women Starts Own AA Meeting

This man gets off really easy with only 2 years of jail after sexually assaulting a woman sleeping. He already had a previous 2.5 year sentence for sexually assaulting 5 women while they were sleeping or passed out in 2005. Before being sentenced he attended AA meetings and even started his very own AA meeting! Is anyone warning the minors and women in his meeting what a habitual sex offender he is? I seriously doubt it. This just shows how AA allows anyone to start a meeting and be a sponsor.

Julia Franzen Covered In Blood Arrested For Stabbing Her AA Member Mother Nancy Franzen

AA member Nancy Franzen’s daughter Julia Franzen has been arrested in her murder. Julia Franzen had a history of arrests and mental problems. This is such a tragic story. Even though I do not know if Julia Franzen was mandated to AA for her arrests, I do know that her Mother was very involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. After reading this story I could not help but wonder what led up to this? True the daughter was very troubled indeed. Did her Mom being an AA member impact this very volatile situation in a positive or negative way? AA is known for telling people not to take their meds, and look poorly on the professional mental health community. They also are known for encouraging people to look at their part in it, and going through confessions.

Did the fact that Nancy Franzen was an AA member help or hurt her and her family in the end? R.I.P. Nancy Franzer.

HOW 12 STEP ADDICTION TREATMENT DOES NOT WORK ACCORDING TO ‘INSIDE REHAB’

This is wonderful to see a book written about the obvious failings of 12 step addiction treatment inside America’s rehab industry. Anne M. Fletcher also sites many solid evidenced based options and alternatives to the current archaic model of the majority of rehabs.

“Inside Rehab”: How it could work better, and why it doesn’t

A startling new investigation of addiction programs says 28 days and 12 steps add up to inadequate treatment

Sunday February 3, 2013

BY

Maybe Amy Winehouse had a point: However flippant that sounds, many a reader will be thinking it (or something like it) after finishing Anne M. Fletcher’s “Inside Rehab.” Fletcher visited 15 addiction-treatment programs, from the high-end to the bare-bones, and interviewed staffers, researchers, experts and over a hundred clients and their families. She collected data from an impressively wide range of studies and surveys. Nearly 3 million Americans seek help for substance-use disorders in specialty facilities annually (not including the nearly 2.5 million who opt for self-help groups like Alcoholics Anonymous) and we spend $35 billion on treating these disorders, so it’s surprising how little most of us know about what goes on in rehab.

Murder of Narcotics Anonymous Sponsor Raises Fears Among Other NA Sponsors

Twist in Sedgefield killing: Victim was Narcotics Anonymous Sponsor

Killing of Charlotte Narcotics Anonymous Sponsor raises fears among local sponsors

Friends say man arrested in murder had been sponsored by the victim

The man accused of killing Charles Middleton at his south Charlotte home Saturday morning was a man he’d sponsored while involved in a Narcotics Anonymous program years ago, people close to the situation say.

The disclosure has heightened fears about the potential dangers of sponsorship relationships among recovering addicts in the Charlotte area.

On Monday, Christopher Paul Huffman was taken into custody in Casa Grande, Ariz., more than 2,000 miles from the scene of the shooting on Elmhurst Road in the Sedgefield neighborhood adjacent to Dilworth.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg homicide detectives traveled to Arizona on Monday to interview Huffman, who had no criminal record. Police have not divulged a possible motive in the killing or said whether Middleton’s sponsorship work with Huffman made him a target.

But for people involved in 12-step programs, the link spurred wariness and fear.

“It is almost a sacred thing. These are people who so freely give of themselves,” said a Narcotics Anonymous member who declined to give his name because the association frowns on speaking to the press. “How do they know that the people who we are trying to help are not going to do us harm?”

Karla Brada Strangled to Death by AA Member Eric Allen Earle Says Lawsuit Filed Against Alcoholics Anonymous

Jaroslava and Hector's baby Karla.

Parent’s Worse Nightmare – Domestic Violence, Anonymity, Death of Your Child – The Story of Karla Brada

One such story is that of Jaroslava and Hector Mendez and family. The Mendez’s live in a beautiful ranch style home in Santa Clarita, California, filled with memorabilia from their past, a very homey feel, pictures and treasures adorning the living room and, of course, pictures of their three daughters. Their eldest, their youngest, and their middle child Karla, who died at 31 years old, on August 31, 2011. Karla was a beautiful young woman who was a diabetes supplies medical tech, a great softball player, and loved her dog Kloe, as a mother loves a child. Karla was just getting started in life. At 31, she was dating and enjoying life, having fun and beginning to discover herself. She was also drinking alcohol and testing her limits, like most young people do. She had been charged with a DUI (driving under the influence) after a car accident. She was reportedly driving with a bac (blood alcohol level) of .08. Fortunately, she was not injured, nor had she injured others. She attended inpatient rehab and was taken in a van, with all the other patients, to AA meetings. Jaroslava and Hector wanted their baby Karla to get the help she needed and were happy to see her getting some help.

Soon after becoming a member of AA, Karla met a man there and bought a condo in which the two were living together. His name is Eric Allen Earle, and he was mandated by the courts to attend AA meetings as a condition of his parole. Eric Earle’s criminal record looks like something from a CSI TV show. It is truly terrifying the number of restraining orders that have been filed against Earle, by his ex-wife and his own father. Earle allegedly murdered Karla by strangulation after she had asked him to move out of her condo. A few weeks before her death, Earle was arrested for battery after beating Karla. Earle’s AA sponsor, Patrick Fry, allegedly talked Karla out of pressing charges, and the charges were dropped. Since 1991, Eric Earle has been charged and convicted of 22 civil cases, has 8 restraining orders filed against him and has accumulated more than 52 criminal charges. It might seem strange that he did not spend more time in jail, but his record shows that he was put on probation, with AA attendance as a stipulation, an all-too-common mandate. Man Arrested For Shooting Up Neighbors Cabin Then Bonds Out and Goes To AA Meetings

Willer

AA Member  David R. Willer 66, is found guilty of felony endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm. This after he fired into a neighbors cabin. Now this guy is crazy! You have got to read this article. The court did an evaluation on him saying he had a narcissistic personality disorder and characteristics of a sociopath. In jail he threatened to kill the jailers, the SWAT team that arrested him and stack them like a cord of wood. The SWAT team found 14 firearms at his house. He had previously threatened to kill his own wife and burn a house down.

After the arrest, he gets out on bond and goes to a 12 step Rehab at Resurrection Behavioral Health in Chicago. Then he goes to AA meetings! Yes! Just the kind of man you would want to hold hands with in AA, right?

AA Member Arrested While Attending AA Meeting at Church For Stealing Car

AA member  Brian Michael Mulrooney, 23, was arrested for stealing a vehicle at an AA meeting being held in a church. This man resisted arrest and head butted a police officer. Churches need to be very careful about allowing AA meetings.

Church pastors need to review their Insurance policies to see if it covers the AA meetings, and also to require the AA and NA meetings to provide insurance to the church that includes Sexual Abuse Molestation Liability Insurance because the courts are mandating 3rd level sexual predators to AA meetings along with rapists. Is this really what they want for their church? It is quite possible that Brian Michael Mulrooney was court mandated as well.I wonder how many minors got to witness this violent arrest?

Mandated AA Member Kills Dad With Baseball Bat after Plotting to Murder His Family According to Arrest Report

Social media offers peek into Tucker Cipriano’s life before attack

June 1, 2012  |

Nearly two months before he was accused of attacking his family, Tucker Cipriano asked friends on Facebook whether anyone went to local Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

According to police reports, Cipriano was known to use synthetic marijuana and was said to have stolen from his parents.

Social media has offered a glimpse into the life of Cipriano, 19, who is accused along with a friend of breaking into his parents’ home on April 16, beating his father to death with an aluminum bat and nearly killing his mother and one of his brothers.

A Feb. 26 message on Cipriano’s Facebook page — he posted under the name Johnathen Kodiak Hammond — asked: “anyone go to any A.A. meetings around farmington?” A later message, responding to someone giving a meeting location, said: “u go? i need someone to go with.”

Man Charged With Pulling Handgun on Two Men Goes to AA Meetings is Given Light Sentence

AA Member Andrew Peterson got the  AA get out of jail card by getting a 6 month suspended sentence after he attended AA meetings prior to sentencing. So even before the courts mandate 12 step meetings, attorneys nationwide are encouraging the criminals they represent to go to AA and NA Meetings.

Did They Really Tell Stalkers Going to AA Meetings and Ala-non Meetings is Helpful?

This is stalking awareness month. Stalking comes in many forms including online stalking. AA members are known for stalking anti-AA bloggers. Many cannot handle any criticism of the 12 steps, The Big Book or Bill W. Bloggers beware. But there is also many other forms of stalking and it can lead to death. I cannot believe this article below actually tells people that might think they are a stalker, to go to AA meetings and Al-anon meetings! I mean we already have the courts mandating stalkers to 12 step programs. So before you go to an AA or NA meeting, or a 12 step based co-dependency support group (CoDA) realize you could be sitting next to a stalker thanks to our courts and others who think it is a fine idea!

” It is a form of harassment and can lead to death. If you have stalking tendencies, there are things you can do to prevent yourself from being a stalker as well. The majority of them have an obsessive pattern which they lose control of. They become co-dependent upon the person, which means they believe they cannot exist without the other person. Going to a Co-Dependency group can help as can going to AA or Al-Anon. Stalkers usually self medicate with drugs and/or drinking as well.”

Sex Offender Arrested For Going To Church with Sunday School and Daycare on Premises

G6J6EJV9E.2

Sex offender arrested for attending church that had Daycare and Sunday School on the premises. How often does this happen across this country in all our churches with mandated sex predators attending NA meetings and AA meeting in the church basements? Does the Pastors of these churches even realize that AA is bringing sex predators and violent felons to their churches? Does their insurance policies cover ‘sexual molestation’  for the 12 step meetings? What about the AA’s groups insurance policy-is the church named in the policy? How much coverage is it, and does it cover abuse and molestation? Important questions churches need to be asking themselves. Not to mention they are allowing the pagan religion of AA to worship in Christian Churches.

PARENTS BE CAREFUL LETTING YOUR TEEN ASSOCIATE WITH AA MEMBERS AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

Why should parents be careful about letting their teens associate with AA members from the Santa Clarita Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous?

JR Harris's picture

Courtesy of JR Harris on Mon, 12/31/2012

The Santa Clarita Valley (SVC) Central Office of Alcoholics Anonymous is located at 26951 Ruether Ave., Suite B-6, Santa Clarita, CA 91351 and acts as the central focal point of Alcoholics Anonymous claiming no control over the events they coordinate, promote and advertise in that area of Los Angeles County (http://www.aascv.org/). Alcoholics Anonymous actively recruits from jails and prison for members under their “Correction Committees”, from mental institutions under their “Hospital & Institution” (H&I) committees and from the probation, parole and court systems under their “Cooperation with the Professional Community” (CPC) committees. The members of AA will tell you that the majority of the members do not come from these outlets and through the last survey they published, which only polled around 7,000 members, only 11% of the members came from these outlets. Depending upon outside sources this number is actually between 45-55%.

Why should this be important information for parents to know if they allow their children to go to AA meetings, Al-Anon or Alateen in Santa Clarita Valley (SVC)? The simple reason is because this particular Intergroup co-mingles Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon and Alateen members and if a teen is attacked physically, financially or sexually they will be made to blame for the attack. Use Google and find the physical, financial or sexual attacks in Alcoholics Anonymous and you will find that the Victim is almost always made to be the reason for the attack and the AA Intergroup or group will be called blameless and they will blame your teen. You and your teen will be told repeatedly that your teen was at fault and that you can’t hold the people holding the event responsible for what happened. Here is an example that happens every year that co-mingles all three groups that happened this year, luckily without any incidents that are known and reported. Continue reading
