Another Man Convicted of Child Pornography Possession and Dissemination Mandated to Narcotics Anonymous Meetings

How many child porn sellers and sex predators have to be sent to AA and NA meetings before child advocates will care that AA and NA invite teens to these meetings with these people with no safety regulations and no leaders? Will the FBI ever care? Child protective services care? Somebody help us to stop this insanity.

Cilley’s attorney, Michael Jennings of Springfield asked the court for either five years probation or a five-year sentence in the House of Correction on the possession charges and five years probation on the dissemination charges.

  1. Hi lovinglife52! I agree, this just puts other in danger and does little for the offender.

Many take their kids to 12 step meetings. When I have seen them in the park sitting there listening to the language and oh so not appropriate horror stories from both AA and NA members has been just shocking. Totally unacceptable. As a parent I would of NEVER EVER allowed my kid to listen to such horror stories.

Kids of addicts are treated like 2nd class citizens.

So you said that in the UK they would get a harsher sentence for this sort of thing? This guy basically got a slap on the wrist.

  2. This is crazy, a couple of meetings a month are going to do nothing for him but puts others in danger. I really cannot see why this is appropriate in any way, even for people who thing AA and Na do good which I doubt.
I don’t think this would happen in the Uk where the sentences would be tougher for this type of crime. I saw many take children to meetings, especially lunch time ones with young mothers.
