SEX OFFENDER OF GIRL MANDATED TO AA 3 TIMES A WEEK

This is actually the stepfather of the young girl who was convicted of sexually assaulting her.It is an unacceptable practice of mandating sexual offenders to AA/NA where children are often present along with underage teens. Also minors are actively encouraged by AA/NA themselves. They are even going into our high schools trying to expand their base !

KEARNEY — A Ravenna man is serving a 9-month jail sentence for sexually assaulting a girl.

The man was also placed on three years’ probation for a second charge of felony-attempted incest of the same girl. The man’s name is being withheld to protect the victim’s identify.

Under his probation, the man must complete intensive outpatient counseling, attend Alcoholic’s Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous three times a week and obtain his GED. Judge John Icenogle sentenced the man last week in Buffalo County District Court.

The man pleaded no contest to the charges in July. Both incidents happened in October 2009 in Ravenna and involved the same girl.

  1. This articles speaks of the parallels between the sex abuse at Penn State and the Catholic Church. We need to connect the dots as well on the parallels to Alcoholics Anonymous’s cover up of sexual abuse at the hands of their members. They have actually admitted there knowledge to these crimes against children and have stated they will do nothing to stop this from happening. They are partners in crime with these AA/NA predators by turning their back on them. When will the authorities stop this?

Seeming parallels abound in Penn State, Catholic Church abuse scandals
By Dan Gilgoff, CNN.com Religion Editor

(CNN) – Both are managed by male dominated-hierarchies. Both are revered by millions of people. And both allegedly dealt with accusations of sexual abuse of children internally, without going to law enforcement authorities.

To many victims’ advocates, commentators and others, the parallels between this week’s allegations about how Penn State dealt with reports of sex abuse and decade-old revelations about sex abuse in the Roman Catholic Church are uncanny.

“It is really a striking and almost identical factual pattern that has emerged in the Catholic Church cases and at Penn State,” says Jeffrey Anderson, a lawyer who has represented hundreds of American abuse victims in lawsuits against the Catholic Church.

  3. Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous apparently have no concern and take no responsibility for putting our children at risk in our public parks and playgrounds! This situation is out of control, unsafe and unacceptable! Thank goodness there are sites like this that raise public awareness and tell it like it is.
